A dedicated home office can transform your work process completely but you do need to put some thought into it. As designers, we see colour differently. 

While we interact with the world and go about our day, we’re processing and gaining inspiration that we can bring to life in our designs. At Careers in Design we have been looking into how designers stay aware of colour trends and how  they experiment with new colours in their work.

The Pantone colour of 2019 is Living Coral. This is a bright and beautiful shade that is abundant in nature from sand dunes, autumn leaves and flowers to sunsets and of course coral itself. Interior design is an exciting industry with a range of varied jobs available. When it comes to securing a role, relevant experience is invaluable and is something anyone intending to embark on a design career should look into.

The design world exists and impacts on so many aspects of our lives, from the mobile phones we use to the clothes we wear. Most of the time this is done so unobtrusively that we are not aware of the amount of thought, effort and skill that has gone into it.

An example is when visiting a hotel lobby, a guest may be impressed by the opulence, but we might not consider how this has been achieved. The mixture of textures, use of colour and carefully structured layout may well go over their head, but the experience that the designer wishes to create is conveyed all the same. The country home has always had a special charm for interior designers.
