This growing global educational entertainment brand blend education with entertainment and in the large child size city, kids can independently experience role-play activities including the Bank, Hospital, Courier Service, Police Station, Fire Station, Airline, and Theatre.

They currently have a requirement for a Design Manager whose remit includes aspects of interior design, graphic design and architecture. This position will transform empty spaces into fully themed and branded establishments where children can role play and learn whilst having fun.

Person / Experience Required:

  • Experienced in both interior or set design and graphic design
  • Able to use Adobe Creative Suite and AutoCAD
  • Able to produce signage and ideally have knowledge of printing signage
  • Happy to be hands on in terms of working with the maintenance team on ensuring the appropriate props are fitted and installed
  • Experienced in dealing with interactive elements, features, machinery and equipment
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced environment whilst having to liaise with different areas of the business
  • Highly organised and dedicated to executing each brief from start to finish
  • Background in architecture or art direction would be highly desirable

Helping create beautiful sculptural collections, they currently have a vacancy for a Production Co-ordinator. You will be overseeing and managing high quality bespoke furniture and interior products from the client's initial designs through to production. Candidates will be required to run projects both as an individual and as part of the production team in order to effectively meet deadlines. What is most important is that the person can multitask and is highly organised to manage the administration of the production system, operating under a Production Manager and the directors of the company.

Person / Experience Required:

  • Candidates should have at least 2 years' experience in a similar position
  • Have a wide knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes
  • Be willing to learn in a fast paced environment
  • Applicants should be computer literate (PC) and possess 2D & 3D CAD skills (they use Rhino and Adobe Creative software).
  • The candidate should also be visually aware, with an eye for proportion, detail and design and the ability to produce and interpret working drawings and advise on technical and constructional requirements
  • Fluency in English is a must, a knowledge of other languages would be desirable (particularly French or Italian)

This company is very experienced at understanding how clients use their premises and have in-depth knowledge of how to make the modern workplace work and of manufacturers and products. In recent years they have delivered some highly complex projects which have involved over 8,000 furniture items, up to 40 different manufacturers and multiple phases of installation and their track record of project delivery is exceptional.

They are increasingly busy which has highlighted the need for a new person to join their team. The main emphasis is on producing space plans and layouts, detailing up of furniture and specifying furniture and accessories. If the person is able to produce 3D visuals for presentation purposes then that would be beneficial.

Person / Experience Required:

  • AutoCAD is a necessity and 3D Studio / SketchUp an advantage

They have just won a prestigious new client and due to a steady increase in demand they are seeking a Designer to work alongside the Principal and Senior Designer on home accessories. Duties include interpreting images and designs, adapting them into 3D images and producing technical drawings. These will be for rounded surfaces such as temple jars, pots and glass bowls. This role will develop over time and allows the designer the opportunity to work on some wonderful projects. You will also be involved in choosing and bringing in 3D CAD into the company.


Person / Experience Required:

Our client, a well-established family owned group of seven 3 & 4 star properties in the Lake District seek a residential interior designer with a passion for hospitality design as well as some knowledge of property maintenance.

The position is based in Keswick. As a full or part-time designer (min 30 hours per week) you will be working under your own initiative creating interior design concepts, presentations and technical documentation for the owners, manufacturers and suppliers. The interior designer will be responsible for keeping all the hotels up to the high standards expected and will be involved in designing bedrooms, bathrooms, bars / restaurants, function rooms and leisure facilities together with the architects and the hotel directors. As well as updating the interior of the hotel, the designer will also be required to keep an eye on the fabric of the hotel buildings and related staff houses and instruct resident handymen and exterior builders to ensure they are kept in good order.

Requirements:

  • Degree in interior design and a minimum of 3 years' proven experience in the 4/5 star hotel market
  • Ability to source and detail furniture, soft furnishing, joinery, bathroom and lighting
  • Experience in negotiating prices and controlling purchases as well as sourcing the latest products within our industry
  • Experience with SketchUp, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite
  • Live no more than 30 miles from work place (Keswick)
