We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and creative individual to join our friendly Bathroom Studio Design team.

Description/Typical Responsibilities:
This role requires you to deliver both CAD design and varied creative marketing, including overseeing websites and social media and general administrative support. You will be front-of-house, dealing with clients and suppliers on a regular basis and taking customer enquiries, therefore excellent communication skills and an outgoing bubbly personality are essential.

Skills Required:

  • Good knowledge and experience of Photoshop or similar
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Virtual Worlds 3D interior design software
  • Experience (medium to expert) of all Microsoft Office packages
  • Excellent administrative skills with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Well spoken, smart and professional appearance
  • Good all-rounder, hands-on person
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Minimum of five GSCEs (A to C grades including Maths and English) plus the ability to demonstrate excellent English and Maths skills
  • CAD degree or HND/HNC would be advantageous
  • No experience necessary if an ex-graduate
  • High-end retail experience a bonus

Detailed Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity to join our in-house design team. We are looking for a furniture design engineer who will work closely with the design team across a variety of projects. This will include sourcing & researching materials and developing collections for manufacturing within our UK factory and with our external partners globally.

Key Responsibilities / Main Duties:

  • Product Development
  • Working closely with the Concept Designer to produce detailed technical and component drawings taking projects from concept design through to working prototypes and final manufacturing
  • Liaising with the prototyping department to get full scale prototypes developed in line with manufacturing and design requirements
  • Working closely with internal and external manufacturing teams to ensure projects are successfully developed to final production
  • International travel to external manufacturing sites
  • Store Layouts / Exhibitions. Working from a creative brief to produce exhibition and store layouts, to include 2D plans and 3D visual representations
  • Managing the library of documentation for the Sales team to communicate visual brand presentation through retail channels
  • Candidate's Profile
  • The successful candidate for the Furniture Design Engineer role is likely to be a furniture design graduate, with some hands on experience either within furniture design, or within space layout roles. They will have solid experience within Adobe Creative Suite 6, particularly InDesign and Photoshop and will be comfortable using 3D applications including SolidWorks.
